I probably have claimed this too much : I am an avid reader. I thought about this page to share my most favorite books and maybe give some inspiration to get some reading :-). I will be updating this page as I discover more awesome literature and remember past amazing reads. Here is, in no particular order, my biblioteka:

  • Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie :  I flirted with this book for a while before I finally decided to purchase it and I did not regret. I would have to admit I was convinced to read the book after I learned Lupita Nyong’o bought the rights to produce the movie (yes I just love Lupita). The book is about the life of a young Nigerian woman both in Nigeria and the US. It covers many realities faced by immigrants. I especially love how the book describes the American society through the eyes of an African woman. Reading “Americanah”, I felt like someone opened my heart and my mind and wrote a story. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is most definitely an amazing story teller.
  • Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie : One of my favorite book of all times. I just couldn’t stop reading. Another one just beautifully written. I heard there is a movie but I would strongly recommend you get the book before you even think about the movie. Let Chimamanda’s extraordinary writing skills entertain your imagination.
  • Love does by Bob Goff: This is a collection of short stories with a spiritual connotation. The book refers the bible in each stories but you do not need to be Christian to enjoy the read. In this book, Bob Goff shares his life stories in a comical fashion. He brings the kind of sarcasm that is just enjoyable. I laughed, got inspired and learned.
  • Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert: https://koumbaorsi.wordpress.com/2016/07/04/eat-pray-love/#more-1029
  • The Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes: She kills it in this book, so much sass, truth, inspiration, motivation. It is just an amazing read from the creator of TGIT
  • You are a badass by Jen Sincero: This book simply changed my life. My #1 most favorite self-help book.
  • A New Earth: Awakening to you life purpose by Eckart Tolle: A gentle dive into the world of meditation, finding your center and understanding your true life purpose.
  • Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert: An invite to embracing your talent(s) and making peace with yourself.
  • The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Luiz
  • The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer: A great introduction to meditation, meet the voice inside.
